Crich /ˈkraɪtʃ/ (listen) is a village in the English county of Derbyshire. The population at the 2001 Census was 2,821, increasing to 2,898 at the 2011 Census (including Fritchley and Whatstandwell). Capping the Stand is a 60ft (18m) beacon tower, rebuilt in 1922 to commemorate the Sherwood Foresters killed in World War I. On a clear day it Is said you can see as far as the Humber Bridge.
