The full … WebDec 8, 2024 · Before the Steam release, the solution to this issue was to run DF with the third party utility dfhack, and intermittently enter the command "cleanowned." Now that the Steam release out, dfhack presumably isn't functioning, but it might be updated or a mod might be added which addresses this.

Please keep me informed once you have successfully tested it. I'm only running 20 dwarves right but worn out clothing disappears fast enough if you use a refuse stockpile.

That's less than helpful. in the future you should break off the install instructions to a separate video that way you can reference it separately from videos that follow. WebJul 14, 2015 · user76919 - It's... complicated. Dwarves do automatically change clothes, but they don't always relinquish the old crappy clothes. This is why the DFHack command 'cleanowned x' exists. They still pick up & wear available clothes, but they also stockpile the old garbage, especially if they have cabinets assigned in their rooms. –

WebNov 20, 2024 · To OP, I think DFHack is supposed to continue to work with the new version, or will be patched quickly. But I doubt it would ever be included with the game.
