Stand outside his melee range and whenever he pulls you in with his magic attack, immediately run away and attack him again. The blowpipe is fast enough that you can get 1-2 attacks each time he pulls you in, or eat a piece of food. WebYou can safe spot the first two forms. the first being getting him caught on a rock and using range. The second being running out of his range attack distance and using a longbow to still be able to attack him. The third isn't safe spottable, you will take damage.
